FASHION DESIGNER - RECEPTION ATTIRE

Weeeehoooo i flipped over my blog pages and realized i have not share anything about my w-day baju... Let me start with me sharing my dream dress.

I always wanted a lace ivory dress since i was a little girl.. Something classic. Something like kate's but not the same design cuma penggunaan lace on top of d dress. I know cliche but.. That's the way i like it :)

So, i believe in rizman ruzaini creating my wedding dress. I cant stop promoting the duo on my blog and friends around me. Rizman especially is such a sweetheart. I know they are kinda pricey but again, rizman is so sweet...

The making of my reception dress:--
Material:
- 6meters ivory silk chiffon (binwani's rm38 per meter)
- 2.25meters / 1panel french lace (silk road mayestik, jakarta Rp2.5 juta)
- lining 4meters georgette (jakel rm9.80 per meter)

1) why 6meters silk chiffon instead of 4m?
If you intend to buat kain meleret, kenalah beli 6meters. Itu tak termasuk veil lagi, veil another 1 meter. Jadi, total is 7meters (kalau nak ada veil). Logiknya, kalau beli 4meters je feeling baju raya je la sbb bygkan on our big day haruslah nk pakai heels kan? Kalau beli 4meter je, terjungkit la kain dek non...

2) why only one panel lace, kenapa tak beli 4meters?
Apa kau ingat nak head to toe pakai lace, dah macam langsir karang.... So if nak letak lace atas chiffon utk bhagian atas je, 2.25m tu mmg fah cukup. Kat indon french lace jual by panel, one panel mmg 2.25m...anyway, itu kalau nak buat top of the dress pakai lace.. Kalau nak patch je lagi jimat. 1meter pun cukup. Seriously.

3) why georgette not satin?
Haha i always dislike satin due to the kilat nature. I pnah buat baju function guna chiffon and satin as lining. Although satin bahagian dlm, waktu amik gambar sian i tgk baju chiffon i ala2 ada effect kilat in d photos. Choyyyyy! So georgette it is, kainnya ala chiffon tapi tebal sikit and kain tu jatuh seiringan dengan the chiffon.

Baju macamaba yabg i nak?
Type: long dress
Cutting: mermaid (tak suke gown kembang)
Applique: lace, swarovski focus dkt waist shj, simple. Takmo norak all over baju. wrapped buttons.
Neckline: v-neck
Back: semi bareback with wrapped buttons
Veil: simple. Chiffon patch lace at d middle only

RESULT NIKAH COLOUR!!

Oh mannnn this is my first time blogging via iphone! Ya ya i bought iphone4 in white! After 2 loyal years with bb, my bb dah arwah,.. At last. So saya tidak membazir ye..? ;)

Anyway, hahah result theme colour nikah. Here's the result. Palette 4,1,3,2 (ikut susunan vote PALING tinggi-keempat tertinggi)dah terkeluar dari carta!!!

WHY?????

Here comes the twist.
As a normal human being, kita tak lari drpd mempunyai favourites and bias tendency in choosing. Then only dpt decide kan?

So psychologically, which ever colour u girls voted are d colours YOU love!!! Clap clap now u know ur favouritism towards a few colours! I helped u in a way. Proud. Tee hee

Now here's the trick and why i scrapped out the 4 colours top voted.... :)

I choose to pick colours everyone not so keen of... Maksudnya, secara tak langsung warna yg uols pilih sikit sebanyak influenced by what you like to see from ur own point of view and own eyes kan? Contohnya, paling ramai voted for palette4, maksudnya ramai suke warna tu and in a way there are possibilities ramai jugak yg akan buat warna tu. Get wut im trying to explain tak..?

Sbb tu i susah buat keputusan, sbb keputusan i pun SEMATA-MATA apa yang i suke, apa yg myv fiance suke n apa yg my bestfriends suggest. Thats y i need u girls yg sgt la sweeettttt.....

So the decision? I choose to go the opposite. Now, my choice dah narrow down kpd only empat pallette sahaja:
8, 5, 6, 7

I'll propose these four less voted colours to my family and his family, kasi chance org tua filter decision :)

Ok baju tu dah hampir siap! Weeehoooo!
Penat hokay? Ye la, kerja tak tentu masa. Tiap minggu ada sehari je time utk menjahit.
Itu tak masuk hari yg kawan2 ajak lepak lg :p
Tak temasuk hari kena baking and candy buffet lagik.
Alhamdulillah, rezeki kahwin agaknya.

Anyway, nanti saya akan buat tayangan perdana baju hasil karya saya, yuyu aziz :)
Cewaaaahhhh signature name; feeling designer abis!
Hahah bukan hasil kerja saya sorg, mak kesayangan byk tolong :p
saya boleh jahit tp tak sekemas my mum yg menjahit dari darjah1 katanya, gituuuuu tangan org lama!

Hahaha nak jual pun mahal pulak rasa, kain chiffon je yg good quality rm38 per meter kat jakel, and I pakai 6meters for the baju. Workmanship penat tebongkok2 lagi.
Kalau memberangsangkan I buat size S,M,L buat sewa baju nikah/tunang!

KAK HUSNA'S BIG DAY!

a few months back, i received a msg from my neighbour back then in 1995-1998.

lama kan? i darjah 5 kot!

hahahah so she told me that she's getting married.

we chat via facebook most of the time--- wedding-talk.

until a month before her big-day she asked me a favor to prepare her bridal shower at Fullhouse Yap Kwan Seng.

so i did at a 'special price' sbb dia neighbour i versi jejak kasih!

a baby pink table-spread for the long table, colourful candle holders + candles.

bachelorette sash, balloons, funny glasses, magic wand, and tiara for eveyone!

i also prepared favors and a small candy buffet for her bridal shower. (shopp i only prepare S candy buffet for certain people coz TWH starts from M size)

i grabbed some photos from kak husna's FB, having fun with her friends! :)

ok, they started makan2 meja dah semak, but they had fun i guess! (di hujung sana candy buffet kecil itu with balloons deco)

haha so kak husna dah kahwin... :)

she's a detail-type of person too aka a bridezilla!

but on a positive note, kak husna pandai cari tempat yang murah2.

her card was prettily embossed-- and she got it at RM1!!! yerp, dekat brickfields katanya!
